There are many key aspects of this article I agree with.  First the portion about it not being the programs but the teachers holds true value.  A school could have the best programs and bad teachers and the students would not learn.  The teacher is the most important piece in a school. Without a good teacher it will be hard for the struggling students to learn.  Secondly its not about what you do its how you do it.  This is something I also agree with.  Anyone can stand up in front of the students and read off a power point.  Effectively getting the kids involved will increase their chances of learning the material better.  Teaching is about getting the students involved and as teachers its our job to reach the students in ways that they can learn.

The article states that one of the main reasons teachers leave teaching is due to isolation from their colleagues.  The benefits of teacher collaboration not only will improve the students learning, it will also improve the teachers.  One of the main points made in this article is using web 2.0 technology to enhance the connecting of teachers not only nationwide rather globally.  This allows for more teachers to get involved, allows for more teachers to be connected and less isolated, it allows for more ideas to be shared.  Developing a project spanning five different countries like the flat classroom project gives something to students that they will remember.  Overall the more teachers that connect and work together using web 2.0 technology, the more students will learn in the long run.
